How to make a power outlet. To do this place the red lead in the socket on the middle of a 3 pronged outlet and place the black lead in the negative or ground socket on the left hand side. The new plug will now receive power from the existing outlet. Hold the new outlet so it is oriented the same as the existing plug. Take off the cover plate held on by the single screw in the middle of the outlet and measure to the hole cut in the wall.
Attach the white wire to the chrome terminal across from the one to which you attached the black wire. Measure the distance off the floor to the other outlets in the building. Turn off the power in the outlet. The output current rating of your transformer should 1 25 greater than your load.
White and black wires should go to the same side of the plug. Run the new cable with sheathing at least two inches up inside the box and double over the excess wires to help hold the cable in place. You want to be mindful of how many things you are plugging in and what they are. To hook up the outlet connect the black wire in the outlet box to one of its brass terminals.

Measure from the center of the existing box location to the center of the desired new box location. You need a buck boost transformer.
Attach the new wires to the new plug terminals to match the wiring of the exiting plug. One more test you may want to do is to make sure your outlet is getting live power through the correct side of the socket. If the outlet is a conventional one you can choose either terminal but if the outlet is a gfci or afci choose the terminal marked line.
Bring it anywhere you go. If the output voltage is6 volts less reverse the connections. Rewire the existing electrical outlet connect the wires of the new cable to the existing wires. This project can power bulbs lamps electric fans laptops lcd tvs and mor.
